A Guide to Staying in Italian Cities

Thousands of travellers visit Italy each year. Infrastructure in all big Italian cities is capable of catering to a large number of tourists, and the wide range of choices means that there is something to suit every one.

Accommodation in Italian cities is not a problem as there is a variety of options. All big Italian cities such as Venice, Milan and Rome have a number of hotels, ranging from well known chain hotels to smaller independent hotels.

While hotels are the most traditional accommodation used by most tourists, there are other options as well. You can find different types of apartments to rent in Rome and other cities, and self catering rental accommodation can often be a better option, especially for budget travellers.

Bed and breakfasts and small family run motels are also found in cities as well as in smaller towns and villages. For budget travellers, the cheapest option is camping, and there are a good number of campsites spread around Italy.

There is no shortage of options in Italy as far as accommodation goes. There are types of accommodation to suit different budgets and tastes, and this is just one of the many reasons that make Italy a favourite among tourists.
